When class participants arrive at the class location they will proceed into the building. Personal firearms and ammunition should be safely secured in your vehicle until directed by your Chicago’s Finest instructor to bring them into the building.
Upon arrival, participants will be required to present the following:

**NOTE**
The maximum credit hours applied toward the 16-hour class is 8 hours. The last 8 hours of class is a mandatory class. Usually the 8 hours are covered during Day 2 of the 16-hour class. During this time the Illinois law about CCL is covered in detail, along with firearm handling on the range and the IL-CCW firearms qualification. The 16 Hour Class is mandatory for the CCL application.
Prior law enforcement/corrections officer firearms training as detailed in 430ilcs 66/75(J): 8 hours credit
Important Notes
If accepted for training, all students agree to abide by all written and verbal policies and procedures of Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL its instructors and authorized agents. All students are individually financially responsible for any and all debts that are incurred and owed to Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL as a result of their application for enrollment in any class or course given or sponsored by Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL.
The 16 Hour Course Completion Certificate is awarded for students who demonstrate the skills, knowledge and attitude required to safely handle a firearm. Students who demonstrate a poor attitude to safety, or a “know-it-all” attitude will not be allowed to complete the course at the Range and will not be issued a Course Completion Certificate.
All students, by registering for class and actual class attendance, are agreeing to subscribe to this code of conduct and the student’s responsibilities. Range attire is to be worn while in the classroom and on the range. No open toe shoes, no sandals, no sleeveless shirts, or low cut blouses. This is for safety as semi-automatic pistols throw off hot brass.
Payment Information -Policies
The deposit is non-refundable, unless the class is cancelled. In the event that you cannot make the class due to illness or emergency, you may be able to credit your deposit toward a future class. Class fee and range fees are non-refundable. If a student does not pass the ISP Firearms qualification portion of the class, additional training is available for a fee. Payment is due in full prior to attending your first 8 hours of class.
Transporting Your Firearm
Students are to bring their unloaded and secured firearms to class. Students are to leave their weapon in their vehicle until instructed by Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL staff or instructor. Ensure that you have your valid “Firearm Owner Identification Card” in your possession. No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom. Double-check and ensure that your firearm is unloaded and secure prior to transporting it. In order to legally transport your firearm, it must be completely unloaded and in the case. The cased firearm and boxed ammunition must be locked in the trunk of your vehicle or, if in an SUV, placed in a locked container in the rearmost section of your SUV.
WAIVER
Student Waiver and Release
The student understands that the submitting of the enrollment application, does not automatically constitute acceptance of enrollment. Further, the student states and affirms that the information contained in their application is both true and accurate to the best of their knowledge. In addition, the student gives Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL, my full and complete permission, by all reasonable means and methods to determine suitability, fitness and qualifications for enrollment in any and all courses.
The student understands and agrees that Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL, has the right to refuse to provide training to anyone, for any reason. Further, that the student, their heirs, administrators, executors, and agents, fully and completely waive, release and hold harmless Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL, and its’ shareholders, directors, executives, mangers, employees, subcontracted companies, affiliates and authorized agents from any and all causes of action, including (but not limited to) third-party causes of actions, arising directly or indirectly, as a result of their submission of the completed enrollment application, their participation in Chicago’s Finest Tactics and CCL, training resulting from such application (or ensuing related employment activities), any and all activities (including “Acts of God”) during class, or from any and all other acts, errors or omissions related to their enrollment, classroom training or their participation in the Referral Program.
Risk of Injury
Any prospective student wishing to take, any of the classes of this Company, understands that these classes carry with them a significant risk of injury. Courses involving firearms carry an enhanced risk of injury, due to the need to conduct live-fire training, and dynamic defensive activities that may bend, twist or pin the body in ways that may induce temporary pain, or sever discomfort. Students who register for and participate in this training give their full consent to such use and fully waive, release and hold harmless the Chicago’s Finest tactics and CCL and instructors in the use of such training. All students, in registering for courses in this Company, acknowledge and accept such risk. Any prospective student who is, or reasonably believes that they may be, allergic or acutely at risk of physical harm, due to anything presented at any course, is prohibited from registering in that course, and should not attempt to take that course
